Myrrh Essential Oil on Umbilical Cord as in Biblical Times

www.tiffanyrowan.com Myrrh and Frankincense were brought to the Christchild. Myrrh was used on the mother’s perineum to prevent tearing during birth, and it was used on the child’s umbilical cord to help it to dry up faster and to prevent infection. Not only have we practiced this with our three youngest of seven children, but when our youngest’s cord ripped off when she was three days old, we used Myrrh to prevent the belly button from getting infected and to ease some of the discomfort from the cord ripping off. Young Living gets its Myrrh oil from Somalia.
