@bloomingallways …Hi. Im new to using EO and Ive been reading a lot of different things. There’s a vid on here where the guy tells how to tell if an EO is real or synthetic. He says real oils can be used on the skin without a CO. If it says to use a CO, then its not real and has other things in it. Most info i read said to use a CO. Also I saw a vid that says jojoba is supposed to be in a glass bottle not plastic. Is there different kinds for diff skin tones? Im confused, pls help! TY!

@bloomingallways There are plenty of oils that are not for use with children. Some oils have hormonal properties, like sage, clary sage, rose geranium, these are not for use with children, whether they are organic therapeutic oils or not. There are others, but for brevity, if you are using oils with children, look for books by Shirley Price or Valerie Worwood.Young Living is good, but knowing precautions from other sources is very important, especially with children.

Drinking peppermint tea works just as well and is a better method. To rub Peppermint on your stomach, always use a carrier oil, and dilute at 2.5 per cent.

  6. cowinyourface says:

you only need 1 drop of Eucalyptus E.O. in a bowl of hot water for inhalation .. no more, it can be very strong and burn the eyes. Dry inhalation will also work.

  7. cowinyourface says:

some oils are contraindicated for children, pregnancy, elderly, asthma etc… although most are safe, you need to establish the correct dilution, eg: 1pc for children. You need to seek consultation from a qualified Clinical Aromatherapist -Diploma Level- or Aromatic Medicine Practicioner -Advanced Dip Lvl- to establish correct oil and dilution.

From my exerience: A drop or 2 of peppermint oil in the belly button helps calm lower digestive system gas pains and other disturbances. Also putting a drop or 2 in a glass of water and drinking it helps with upper digestive tract gas, cramps and other disturbances.

The reason he said to keep the oils away from kids is because kids could break the glass and get cut, open the bottle and drink the oil (which would make them as sick as a dog), and some herbs can be dangerous if given in to large a dose to a child.

I thought he meant it to prevent toddlers sucking on bottles of lavender or eucalyptus or getting it in their eyes or whatever. No?

You say to ‘keep essential oils away from children.’ What oils are you using? 100% Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils are perfectly safe to be applied to children, particularly the bottoms of the feet.

If you believe Essential Oils should be kept away from children, then you’re probably using some of the oils that constitute 98% of the market’s products.

I highly recommend you explore Young Living Essential Oils.
They are truly divine assistants in healing. Ancient medicines for modern times!

the eucalyptus steam does work really well to clear your nose. I found that out the dangerous way by trying it out with out knowing anything (before i watched these videos or read any books). HOWEVER, it does work :]
